Sample Inventories

A sample inventory will provide a statistically relevant sample of your trees to draw conclusions about the overall tree population.

The Importance of Tree Inventories for Large Properties

Tree inventories have numerous benefits for commercial and residential clients with 50 or more trees, such as:

  • Understanding your trees: If you have a large property, it is difficult to know every tree you have and what kind of care they may need in the near future.

  • Identifying future problems: Tree inventories can alert you to broad trends and future problems your trees may have, such as several leaning or damaged trees, or old trees that will require additional care.

  • Catching problem trees early: Surveying your trees can help spot a sick tree that needs treatment or removal, preventing it from dying and spreading disease to others.

Will DEFINITELY use them again!

“Great dealing with Arbor Masters!  On time and courteous (the workers graciously stopped what they were doing and made sure the yard was secure when our dogs need to go out). Had some twigs and branches fall into the garden, and they apologized and cleared it out as best they could). Kept us informed. Will DEFINITELY use them again!”

Our Tree Inventory Process

Tree inventories are not a service most people are familiar with, so we’ve outlined our process so you can know what each step looks like. We’ve honed our processes since our founding in 1960 to bring you the best and most straightforward tree care in the Oklahoma City area.

  • 1

    Initial Assessment

We’ll start by examining your property to understand the scope of the project and determine what’s needed to complete the job to your satisfaction.

  • 2

    Prepare a Quote

Once we’ve gauged the project, we’ll send you an electronic quote for the work. After you accept the quote, we’ll begin the inventory.

  • 3

    Take the Inventory

We’ll walk through your property, assessing the trees and their condition. For a full inventory, we’ll examine all trees, or we’ll focus on specific trees for sample or partial inventories.

  • 4

    Collect Data

We’ll gather important data, such as tree age, condition, and size, using our ArborPro software, which you can review after we’ve completed the inventory.

  • 5

    Provide Recommendations

Once the inventory is complete, we can offer recommendations on how to best care for your trees based on our findings.

Who Needs a Tree Inventory?

There are plenty of clients who find benefits from our tree inventory services, such as:

Owners of Large Retail Areas

Identifying all the trees on a large commercial property, such as a shopping center, can be time-consuming and complex. A professional tree inventory helps manage trees that experience extra stress from heat radiated by parking lots and streets.

Apartment Complex Owners

Trees enhance the beauty and provide shade in apartment complexes. A tree inventory offers a detailed overview of the trees across the property, identifying any issues that could affect their health and appearance.

Local Municipalities

Municipalities often hire arborists to inventory trees in public spaces, such as street trees, parks, and urban forests. This helps maintain the health of trees under the city’s care.

HOA Boards

Homeowners’ associations benefit from tree inventories that provide a clear picture of all the trees within the community. This helps detect diseases or weak trees in need of attention to prevent wider issues.

Educational Institutions

Schools and colleges often use trees to enhance their campuses. A professional tree inventory ensures all trees are assessed, helping educational institutions care for trees efficiently and make informed treatment decisions.

FAQs About Tree Inventories

There’s no set schedule for tree inventories, but we typically recommend having one done every 10 years. This helps track changes in the condition of your trees and keeps your data up to date.

The price of a tree inventory will often fluctuate based on the size of the property and how many trees we will be examining.

We can conduct a tree inventory year-round, though it is easier when a tree is fully leafed out. Arborists can still determine a tree’s species by the bark and limb structure if you would like an inventory done in the late fall, winter, or early spring.

We use the ArborPro software to keep track of data during a tree inventory.
