A Community Built Around Its Trees
Southlake's identity is inseparable from its trees. Neighborhoods like Timber Lake, Clariden Ranch, and Southlake Woods were developed around native post oaks and cedar elms that have been growing here for generations – part of the historic Cross Timbers landscape that still defines the area today.
With median home values topping $1 million and an active Tree Preservation Ordinance protecting much of the canopy, the trees on your property are assets worth caring for properly.

3 Reasons Southlake Homeowners Choose Arbor Masters
Plenty of companies in the area own a chainsaw and a truck. Here's what separates us from the rest:
Unparalleled Experience
We’ve been in the tree care industry since 1960. That kind of longevity comes from doing quality work and standing behind every recommendation.
Certified Arborists, Not Just Tree Cutters
Our team includes ISA Certified Arborists with Oak Wilt Certification and TCIA Accreditation, qualifications that set us apart from other local companies.
We Know What Grows Here
Cross Timbers post oaks don't respond like the live oaks further south. Southlake's soils, microclimate, and preservation regulations all factor into how we approach every job.
Tree Resources for Southlake Residents
Southlake has held its Tree City USA designation for 28 straight years, and the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve protects 145 acres of native Cross Timbers habitat right along Grapevine Lake.

Did You Know?
Southlake's Tree Preservation Ordinance (Ordinance 585-E) requires permits for tree removal on many properties, especially those developed under a formal Tree Conservation Plan. If your subdivision appears on the city's Tree Conservation Map, altering or removing existing trees without approval can mean fines and required mitigation. Tree Protection Permits carry a $50 fee, and construction projects require tree protection fencing and a city inspection before any grading begins.
Planning to remove a tree or start a building project? Call us at (469) 586-5829, and our arborists can help you determine what's regulated and what steps you need to take.
