Wichita Tree Removal Permits
If you live in Wichita, you likely will not need a tree removal permit to remove a tree on private property. However, if you plan on removing or pruning a tree that is in the right-of-way or on public land, you will need to apply for a permit from the Wichita Department of Forestry.
Many surrounding Wichita communities, such as Goddard, Andover, and Augusta, also do not require a permit to remove a tree on private property. To be safe, you should always inform your local municipality of your intentions to remove a tree and ensure you won’t need any permits.
The Dangers of DIY Tree Removal
Unless you are removing a minuscule tree, removal is never something to handle yourself. Tree removal is a dangerous process, and each year, many people are seriously injured or killed trying to save money by handling tree removal on their own.
When you hire a professional team like Arbor Masters, you get the peace of mind of working with a company with the proper insurance, licenses, equipment, and expertise to perform tree work safely and efficiently.

We have a dedicated team for stump grinding. We may not get to your stump on the same day as removal, but we will grind it as soon as possible.
We offer tree removal year-round, and removal is often best when it is dry. Winter is a great time to remove a tree when the weather cooperates, as you won’t have to worry about as much debris.
While we’d love to talk with you and walk you through the process, we understand that it isn’t always possible to be home when we work. We can complete the work while you’re away, given you provide us with clear instructions and necessary access to your property.
