No Damage Was Done to the Yard

“They made sure that the conditions were right before starting the job, so no damage was done to the yard. They did a great job with cleanup as well and even offered to take away a lot of branches and debris that had built up from the tree over time.”

DIY Tree Removal – Should You Do It?

While it might be tempting to try and save a few bucks by attempting tree removal yourself, it’s important to consider the potential risks and challenges involved. Tree removal is a dangerous and complex task that requires specialized equipment, expertise, and a high level of safety precautions.

Here are a few reasons why it’s best to leave tree removal to the professionals:

  • Safety Risks: Tree removal involves working at heights, dealing with heavy equipment, and navigating hazardous working conditions. Professionals have the necessary training and safety measures in place to minimize risks.

  • Specialized Equipment: Arborists have access to specialized tools and equipment, such as cranes, climbing gear, and chippers, that are needed for safe and efficient tree removal.

  • Expertise and Knowledge: Professionals have the expertise to assess tree health, identify potential hazards, and choose the most appropriate removal methods.

  • Liability: If you attempt tree removal yourself and cause property damage or injuries to others, you could be held liable.

  • Time and Effort: Tree removal is a time-consuming and physically demanding task. Hiring a certified arborist can save you time and energy.

  • Insurance Coverage: Many homeowners insurance policies cover professional tree removal services, but they may not cover damages caused by DIY attempts.

FAQs About Tree Removal

The duration of a tree removal project depends on the size and condition of the tree, as well as any surrounding obstacles. Our team will provide you with an estimated timeline during your initial consultation.

Several factors can influence the cost of tree removal, including the size of the tree, its location, the complexity of the removal, and any additional services required. We offer free estimates to provide you with a transparent and accurate quote.

Whether or not you need a permit can vary depending on local regulations and specific circumstances. In many areas, permits are necessary for the removal of trees located on public property, within certain protected zones, or for trees of significant size or species.

For these reasons, it’s important to check with your local municipality, planning department, or a Certified Arborist to determine if a permit is required for your specific project.

No, stump grinding is not included with tree removal services. However, Arbor Masters offers stump grinding as an additional service for an additional cost. This service is usually done on a separate day after your tree removal by a separate crew.

We can efficiently and safely grind the remaining stump after a tree has been removed, improving the appearance of your property and preventing future growth.

While we don’t specialize in stump removal, we can effectively remove smaller stumps. If you have a larger stump, we may be able to recommend other professionals who specialize in that type of work.
