Frequently Asked Questions

A Certified Arborist is a tree care expert who has a minimum of three years’ experience in the tree care profession and has passed an exam developed by an international panel of arboriculture experts. The exam extensively covers every aspect of tree care and requires that the tree care professional has an acceptable level of knowledge in all areas of arboriculture.

This means that you receive the best possible tree care from a Certified Arborist. We have the knowledge, training, and experience to recognize and treat any tree health issue, we practice arboriculture according to best practices and safety standards, and we love working with trees.

Our Tulsa branch employs ISA Certified Arborists to bring their expertise to all of our tree work.

We carry all the necessary insurance coverage for tree care, including full liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

We’d rather meet in person to give an estimate than over the phone. We need to see the tree, its conditions, and the surroundings to get an idea of the scope of the job and what equipment we’ll need.

While we prefer to meet you in person, we are also able to conduct contactless estimates. Just mark the trees, and we’ll examine them and provide you with a free estimate.

Winter is actually one of the best times of the year for major tree work like extensive pruning or removing a tree. We only work when weather permits, so we may have to reschedule your service in the winter if we see any snow or ice.

There are a few simple ways to accept a proposal for tree work and plant health care treatments.

  1. Tap the green “accept” button on your electronic proposal if you are accepting it in its entirety exactly as written.
  2. Text and/or email your acceptance to your Arbor Advisor or our office.
  3. Print and sign the proposal, snap a photo of the signed document and then return it via email.

If you would like any changes to the proposal, please contact us to discuss options as it may change the price and scheduling of the work.

The Tree Care Industry Association created the ANSI A300 standards as a way to provide guidelines to companies on the best way to care for trees when pruning, cabling, or bracing. While these are voluntary, the standards are the best practices for caring for trees.

At Arbor Masters, we take these standards seriously and always follow them to the letter. And we train our staff on how to perform work while maintaining the standards.

Stump grinding or removal will not always be done on the same day as the tree removal. This is a different crew with different equipment. Grinding should be done within one week of the removal of the tree.
