When is Tree Removal Necessary?

Our Arbor Masters team would always prefer to save a tree rather than remove it. We realize this isn’t always possible; sometimes, a tree must be removed to protect other trees or your home. Our arborists will examine your trees before removing them and propose any methods to maintain them, if possible.

Some common reasons why trees need to be removed include:

  • The tree is old.

  • The tree is dead.

  • A tree that is unhealthy due to insects or disease.

  • The tree is leaning and poses a danger.

  • The tree is growing too close to utility lines or structures.

  • The tree has been damaged by storms or construction.

  • The tree has interior decay.

Amazing to work with.

“Arbor Masters was amazing to work with! Michele made scheduling service a breeze and pushed to get our job done ahead of schedule. We needed 4 trees pruned and one removed and ground. Two days on-site, and the work was done! Scott, Nate, and David were amazing to work with and extremely professional. They even ground all of the exposed roots around the yard! They got cleaned up, and it’s like nothing ever happened. Amazing company and staff to work with. I will continue to use them for any tree services I need in the future!”

Preparing for Tree Removal

  • Remove any obstacles: Any lawn furniture or decorations are at risk of damage if they are near the tree, so please remove them from the area to keep them safe and help us avoid tripping over anything.

  • Ensure we have access to the tree: If you have a gate, please leave it open on the day of the removal so we can easily access the tree.

  • Keep pets indoors: Pets can end up pretty nervous during tree removal with all the noise, so please keep them inside and help keep them calm while we work.

The crew was incredibly informative about the process.

“From the office to the crew who removed a large ancient oak tree at my home, everyone was professional, informative, and walked us through the removal step by step.  This was a very large tree closely situated by two homes.  The crew was incredibly informative about the process and about the condition of my tree as it came down limb by limb.  If you are contemplating the removal of a tree – especially a large tree – call Arbor Masters.”

FAQs

We offer stump grinding as a standalone service, and we’d be happy to set you up with a stump grinding appointment after removing your tree.

We can perform tree removal year-round, but winter is usually the easiest time to remove a tree when the weather cooperates. Trees will not have their leaves, making cleanup easier.

A leaning tree is an obvious sign that something is wrong with your tree and that you should remove it as soon as possible. Other signs include a tree with discolored leaves or increased insect activity.

While we’d love to see you and walk you through the process, you do not need to be home when we remove your tree.
